Now abandoned and dilapidated, the POW hospital buildings of 1940s Camp Adair housed injured/ill German and Italian POWs during the Second World War. A number of POWs perished before the end of hostilities. Phenomena include EVP recordings of squeaking bedsprings, footsteps, and an intense sense of being menacingly observed by unseen eyes from within the buildings.

|SAdministrator |2010-08-27 03:22:48 seanbJoel, if you could help us locate the actual camp site it would be appreciated. All I found with my research was an exhibit that was housed at the address above. Since this was the closest I could find I marked it. I'll see if I can locate the camp based on your comments and change the marker.

There is no hospital building left at the site of Adair. After the war, most of the buildings were razed. The photo on this site is a photo of the the old Philomath College building. It is in Philomath and was the site of one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in Oregon.
Today, the Philomath College Building houses the Benton County Historic Society and the society's museum. No haunts that I know of, but some interesting history exhibits.
